Choosing among disc golf midranges & putters usually comes down to format: do you want a midrange for broader shot coverage, or a dedicated disc for putting and approach work? The Axiom SOFT ELECTRON TEMPO is aimed at the second use case, with a low-profile shape and a flat flight plate called out in its description.
Quick verdict
At USD 12.95, the Axiom SOFT ELECTRON TEMPO makes sense for a player who wants one putt-and-approach disc with selectable weight and color. Its listed design details give it a focused identity rather than presenting it as a general-purpose midrange. The main decision is whether that focused format matches the shots you want to cover.
Who it suits
Choose the Tempo if you want a putting disc that is also described for approach play, and you appreciate being able to pick the weight and color. The Soft Electron plastic is the listed plastic type, while the low-profile, flat-flight-plate design gives shoppers a specific profile to consider when choosing a disc.
It is less aligned with a search centered on a disc golf midrange set. The Tempo is identified as a putting disc and described as a putt-and-approach disc, so its role is narrower than a multi-disc set designed around several molds.
Axiom SOFT ELECTRON TEMPO
The clearest reason to choose the Axiom SOFT ELECTRON TEMPO is its combination of putting and approach use in a low-profile design. The title also makes weight and color part of the selection, and the description says the color pattern purchased is the exact disc received. That is useful for shoppers who want more control over the specific version they select.
The limitation is equally concrete: this is a focused Tempo putter rather than a midrange set. If your priority is building a collection with multiple discs or a midrange-led setup, the listed format does not address that need.
What stands out from the listed details
- Putt-and-approach purpose: The description directly presents the Tempo for both putting and approach shots.
- Low-profile construction: The low-profile shape and flat flight plate are prominent design details, making profile a central part of the buying decision.
- Soft Electron plastic: This is the named plastic type, so shoppers can distinguish the model by its listed material line.
- Selectable version: "Pick your weight & color" appears in the title, and the chosen color pattern corresponds to the disc received.
Meaningful trade-offs
The Tempo's specificity is its biggest trade-off. A player seeking a single putt-and-approach option can benefit from having a clearly defined role, but someone shopping specifically for disc golf midranges may find the putting-disc format too specialized. The low-profile, flat flight plate is another preference point: it will appeal to shoppers looking for that profile, while players wanting a different shape may not consider it the right fit.
Bottom line
The Axiom SOFT ELECTRON TEMPO is a straightforward choice for shoppers seeking a Soft Electron putter that is also described for approach play. Its low-profile design and selectable weight and color are the strongest reasons to consider it. If the goal is a disc golf midrange set, however, its putter-focused format is the deciding limitation.
