Choosing among disc golf baskets, retrievers & markers can get confusing when the real decision is narrower: do you want the lowest listed price, a Pro HD basket, a color-led target, or a carrying case for transport? These four choices are all baskets, so the fastest route is to match the model phrase and included feature to how you practice. The Axiom Lite leads on entry price; the Axiom Pro HD and MVP Black Hole Pro HD share the Pro HD setup; the MVP bundle adds a named transit case. Here's the practical split.
Quick take
- Choose the Axiom Lite when you want the Lite or Light model and a lower listed price.
- Choose the Axiom Pro HD or MVP Black Hole Pro HD when the Pro HD name is the priority.
- Choose the MVP Black Hole Pro HD with Transit Carrying Bag when packing or moving the basket is part of your routine.
- Use color and the case inclusion as the main tie-breakers after deciding between Lite and Pro HD.

Product notes
Axiom Disc Golf Basket Pro HD Catcher Target MVP Disc Sports - Choose Color
The Axiom Disc Golf Basket Pro HD Catcher Target is a clear fit for a shopper who wants the Pro HD model in an Axiom design. Its description specifies all-metal construction, a threaded tension connection, assembly designed for under one minute, and standard PDGA height and size regulations. Those points make the setup easy to place in a practice routine while keeping the product identity specific. The limitation is the $164.95 listed price: it sits $45 above the Axiom Lite, so it is not the first pick when the lowest entry price is the deciding factor. The title also frames the choice around color, with Royal Blue identified for the listed version.
Axiom Disc Golf Basket Lite Catcher Target MVP Disc Sports - Choose from Colors
At $119.95, the Axiom Disc Golf Basket Lite Catcher Target is the straightforward choice when the listed price matters most. The Lime version brings a vibrant color, and the description specifies two chain tiers, 24 heavy course-weighted strands, equidistant placement, and threaded tension connections for rapid assembly. That combination gives a concrete reason to choose it for home putting practice. The limitation is its model designation: the name identifies it as Lite and the model as Light, so shoppers specifically looking for the Pro HD wording should move to an Axiom Pro HD or MVP Black Hole Pro HD target.
MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target
The MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target suits shoppers who want the named MVP model in black at $164.95. Its description specifies thick 8mm wire, seamless black matte powder coating, and 24 zinc-coated heavy-duty course-weighted chains divided into 12 outer and 12 inner strands. It also states assembly in under one minute and standard PDGA height and size regulations. The concrete limitation is transport: the product name identifies the catcher target, while the separate MVP choice explicitly adds a Transit Carrying Bag. Pick this basket for the basket-focused Pro HD choice; move to the bundle when the named case matters.
MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target + Transit Carrying Bag
The MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target + Transit Carrying Bag is the clearest match for practice that includes packing or moving the basket. The description explicitly includes a Black Hole Transit HD Case with two pole slots and two storage pockets, giving the bundle a concrete transport advantage over the basket names without the case phrase. Its limitation is price: at $184.95, it is $20 above each of the other Pro HD choices. Choose it when the case features matter; if transport is not part of the plan, the Axiom Pro HD or MVP Black Hole Pro HD target keeps the decision focused on the basket itself.
Final recommendations
- For the lowest listed price: choose the Axiom Disc Golf Basket Lite Catcher Target.
- For an Axiom Pro HD practice basket: choose the Axiom Disc Golf Basket Pro HD Catcher Target for its all-metal construction and color-led naming.
- For the MVP-named black target: choose the MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target for its Black Hole Pro HD model and black matte finish.
- For transport between practice spots: choose the MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target + Transit Carrying Bag for the included case and its storage details.
The practical tie-breaker between the two Pro HD targets is identity: Axiom emphasizes color choice, while MVP names the Black Hole Pro HD in black. Add the transit case only when its carrying features match the way you use your practice basket.
