Choosing dive computers & instruments starts with a practical fork: do you need a scuba console that brings air-integrated information into the dive, or a wristwatch centered on apnea and surface recovery? The three Suunto Cobra entries stay in the console lane; the Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch takes the wristwatch lane. From there, condition, compass inclusion, battery details, and the exact display functions decide which one fits.
Quick take
Start with format, not price. Compare the three Cobra console choices if scuba-oriented console equipment is the priority, then separate them by condition and named extras. Choose the Mares Smart Apnea when wristwatch use and apnea-focused readings are more relevant than a Cobra console. The price comparison below puts those differences in context without treating cost as a performance score.

- Apnea-focused wrist use: Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch emphasizes depth, dive time, water temperature, ascent and descent speeds, recovery time, and programmable alarms in a wristwatch format.
Product notes
Suunto Cobra Air Integrated Scuba Dive Computer Compass Console w/ Case Untested
The Suunto Cobra Air Integrated Scuba Dive Computer Compass Console w/ Case Untested makes sense for a shopper who wants an air-integrated console and a compass in one package. The included case is another concrete draw for someone organizing console gear. Its limitation is the condition wording: the item is used and untested. That is a materially different starting point from the two new Suunto Cobra entries. Select it when the compass-and-case combination is central to the purchase; choose the new-in-box or new Cobra instead when condition carries more weight.
Suunto Cobra Air-Integrated Scuba Dive Computer - NEW in Box - Console
The Suunto Cobra Air-Integrated Scuba Dive Computer - NEW in Box - Console is the straightforward pick for a new console presentation. Its functions include tank-pressure, depth, time, and no-decompression-limit tracking, along with Nitrox support, audible and visual alarms, RGBM, a large display, and a user-replaceable battery. The limitation is its console format: a shopper specifically seeking wristwatch use should look to the Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch. Choose this Cobra when new-in-box scuba information is the priority.
Suunto Cobra Dive Computer Air Integrated Console RGBM Nitrox with Extra Battery
Suunto Cobra Dive Computer Air Integrated Console RGBM Nitrox with Extra Battery stands out for the named accessory and display details. It includes an extra battery, a bright electroluminescent backlight, audible alarms, Air, Nitrox, and Gauge modes, altitude adjustment, and a built-in logbook. The limitation is format: it is a console system rather than the wristwatch format named by the Mares Smart Apnea model. It fits a shopper who wants the Cobra console package with extra power and a display designed for low-light readability.
Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch
Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch fits a shopper whose sessions center on apnea-related readings in a wrist format. It displays instant depth, dive time, water temperature, descent and ascent speeds, and recovery time, with programmable alarms covering depth, time, recovery, speed, and hydration. Its limitation is the product's apnea and wristwatch focus compared with the Cobra console entries. It also has the highest listed price at USD 225. Choose it when recovery visibility and apnea-specific controls matter more than the Cobra console format.
Final recommendation by use case
For the lowest listed-price route, choose the Suunto Cobra Air Integrated Scuba Dive Computer Compass Console w/ Case Untested if used, untested condition is acceptable. For a new-in-box console, choose the Suunto Cobra Air-Integrated Scuba Dive Computer - NEW in Box - Console. For a console whose title specifically includes an extra battery, choose Suunto Cobra Dive Computer Air Integrated Console RGBM Nitrox with Extra Battery. For apnea-oriented wrist use, choose Mares Smart Apnea Dive Wristwatch. Format comes first; condition and the named extras make the final call.
