Choosing pickleball paddles gets tricky when the shortlist mixes similar Hyperion models, a Perseus CFS model, and a much higher-priced Pro V Perseus. The practical choice is whether you want the lowest listed price, a 16mm CFS and carbon-frame setup described around control and spin, or a particular Perseus model name. Prices span a wide range here, so the right fit depends more on your use case than on picking a single universal winner.
Quick take
Start with the model family:
- Lowest-price path: Joola Ben Johns Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm.
- Hyperion path: the Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame and Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm entries share the Hyperion model name.
- Perseus path: Joola Ben Johns Perseus CFS 16mm Carbon.
- Specific Pro V path: Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm.

Decision matrix
- A beginner who wants the lowest listed price: Joola Ben Johns Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm, with the exact C2 CFS model phrase in its title.
- A control-and-spin brief: compare the two Hyperion entries, whose descriptions connect CFS and the 16mm core with control, power, spin, touch, and vibration reduction.
- A Perseus CFS request: Joola Ben Johns Perseus CFS 16mm Carbon, which puts that model phrase and CFS technology at the center.
- A Pro V model request: Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm, the choice for that exact title wording.
- A close Hyperion comparison: the shared Hyperion model name makes price and the exact title presentation the practical tie-breakers.
Product notes
JOOLA Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame Pickleball Paddle Black New
At $70.00, the JOOLA Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame paddle combines a Carbon Friction Surface with a 16mm polymer honeycomb core and carbon-frame construction. The description connects that combination with ball grip, spin, touch, vibration reduction, stability, and a larger sweet spot, making it a sensible fit for a control-and-spin brief. Its limitation is the $20.00 gap above the Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm choice, which carries the same Hyperion model name. Choose it when the full Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame presentation is the one you want; choose Joola Ben Johns Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm when minimizing price matters more.
Joola Ben Johns Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm Pickleball Paddle Black \| Carbon Frame New
At $50.00, this Hyperion C2 combines a Carbon Friction Surface, 16mm honeycomb polymer core, and carbon-frame construction. Its description ties those elements to spin, control, touch, vibration reduction, stability, and edge protection, so it fits a beginner who wants the lowest listed price alongside clearly described control-and-spin features. The limitation is its model focus: the title identifies the Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm rather than either Perseus model. That makes it a focused Hyperion choice, not the direct match for shoppers seeking the Perseus CFS or Pro V Perseus title. Choose it when price and the Hyperion C2 wording lead the decision.
Joola Ben Johns PERSEUS CFS 16mm Carbon Pickleball Paddle - Black New
At $53.98, the Joola Ben Johns PERSEUS CFS 16mm Carbon paddle carries the Perseus CFS 16mm Carbon title and a Carbon Friction Surface described around control and power. It suits a shopper whose priority is the Perseus CFS name while staying near the two Hyperion price points. The limitation for comparison shoppers is that its title emphasizes Perseus CFS 16mm Carbon wording rather than the carbon-frame wording used by the Hyperion paddles, so it is not the direct choice for that specific construction phrase. Select it when the Perseus identity and CFS description matter more than matching the Hyperion naming.
Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle
At $139.99, the Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm is the only title here that includes the Pro V Perseus name. That exact model phrase is the reason to choose it: it gives a clear route for a shopper specifically seeking the Pro V Perseus model. The limitation is cost, since it is the highest-priced paddle in this comparison. Its title also labels a 14mm format, while the other three titles label 16mm, so the listed specifications are not identical. Choose it for the specific Pro V Perseus 14mm brief, not merely because its number differs.
Final recommendation by use case
For a beginner or any shopper who wants the lowest listed price, choose Joola Ben Johns Hyperion C2 CFS 16mm because its description expressly covers control, power, and spin. If the preferred brief is the Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame naming, choose JOOLA Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16mm Carbon-Frame Pickleball Paddle Black New; its limitation is the higher listed price relative to its matching Hyperion alternative. For the Perseus CFS 16mm Carbon title, choose Joola Ben Johns PERSEUS CFS 16mm Carbon Pickleball Paddle - Black New. For the Pro V Perseus 14mm title, choose Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle. Treat the choice as a match to your named model or desired description, not as a ranking.
