Choosing golf balls is less about finding one universal winner than deciding what matters on your next round: a soft, beginner-oriented profile, a distance-focused description, or a recycled tour model at a much lower listed price. The four choices here split along those lines, with three new options and one Good - Refurbished Srixon option.
Here's the useful shortcut: the two similarly named yellow Soft Golf Balls options are close choices, the long-distance version adds a warranty mention, and the Srixon Q Star Tour Matte Mix takes a different route with recycled balls and a mixed matte finish.
Quick take
- For a new ball with construction detail: Soft Golf Balls for Beginners & Pros lists 2-piece construction and ionomer material.

Product notes
Soft Golf Balls for Beginners & Pros
Soft Golf Balls for Beginners & Pros | Durable, High-Performance, 12-Pack is a clear match for a golfer who wants a new yellow standard ball with 2-piece construction and ionomer material. Its description adds low-compression wording, a soft feel, straight-flight emphasis, short-game control, putting accuracy, and a side-stamp alignment aid. That gives beginners several concrete reasons to choose it while keeping the setup straightforward. The limitation is the USD 44.99 listed price, which places it above the other new soft-ball choices and the recycled Srixon option. Choose this version when construction and material details matter more than minimizing the spend.
Soft Golf Balls for Beginners
Soft Golf Balls for Beginners | High Performance, Durable, 12-Pack suits a golfer seeking a new yellow standard ball with a soft feel, straight-flight emphasis, alignment aid, and explicit USGA-conforming language. Its model AIE2YE1225 also appears with the Soft Golf Balls for Beginners & Pros option, making the pair a close comparison rather than clearly separate designs. The concrete reason to choose this version is that conformity statement alongside the beginner-focused description. The limitation is its USD 41.64 listed price while the overall profile remains close to its counterpart. Pick it when conformity wording is more useful than a separate construction callout.
Soft Golf Balls - Low Compression, Long Distance
Soft Golf Balls - 250 Pack, Low Compression, Long Distance, Ideal for Beginners is the clearest use-case match for shoppers drawn to low-compression and long-distance wording. The description also mentions an ultra-soft feel, durability, grip, and a distance feature, while the product specifies a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Those details make it worth considering when a distance-oriented description and warranty mention matter more than a specific brand name. Its limitation is the USD 55.99 listed price, the highest in this comparison. The listed color/model designation, USA 250, is also less immediately descriptive than the yellow and multicolor choices elsewhere.
Srixon Q Star Tour Matte Mix Golf Balls
Srixon Q Star Tour Matte Mix Golf Balls, Good Quality, 12 Pack is for shoppers who want the Srixon Q Star Tour name, mixed matte finish, and urethane-cover description at the lowest listed price here. The description pairs that cover with distance, soft feel, and greenside spin, while the balls are identified as recycled, AAA, and Good - Refurbished. Those details give this choice a distinct route for someone comfortable with refurbished condition. The limitation is visible wear: individual balls may show scuffs, blemishes, discoloration, smudged print, player markings, or logos. Choose it for the Srixon Q Star Tour profile, not for uniform new-ball presentation.
Final recommendation by use case
For a new yellow option, choose between Soft Golf Balls for Beginners & Pros and Soft Golf Balls for Beginners based on whether 2-piece ionomer construction or USGA-conforming language is the more useful tie-breaker. For the low-compression, long-distance use case, the Soft Golf Balls option with the warranty mention is the direct match. For Srixon Q Star Tour balls and acceptance of cosmetic marks, Srixon Q Star Tour Matte Mix Golf Balls is the clearest fit.
