Choosing horse grooming & care comes down to a practical tradeoff: do you need a portable collection for everyday brushing, a focused tool for shed hair, or a scratch-brush setup for larger animals? The right choice depends less on the word "kit" and more on the task you want covered. Here's how two 12-piece sets, a shedding blade, and a two-piece livestock brush set divide the work.
Quick take
The two 12-piece kits cover a range of routine grooming tools, while the shedding blade and scratch-brush set target more specific jobs. Choose the first kit when braiding supplies matter, the second when its named brush mix and grooming glove fit your routine, the shedding blade for compact loose-hair work, or the scratch-brush set for a scratch-post arrangement. The price spread is substantial, so decide first whether you need a full assortment or a focused grooming tool.
Listed-price comparison
The listed prices span a $35.45 absolute spread. The shedding blade is at the low end, while a 12-piece kit occupies the high end; the other kit and the scratch-brush set sit between those endpoints.

Decision matrix
- Everyday grooming assortment: Both 12-piece sets include storage and several grooming implements, so compare their specific item mix. The first names a braiding comb and rubber bands; the second names a dandy brush, soft finishing brush, and grooming glove.
- Shed-hair task: The shedding blade is the direct match, with four rows of dense teeth and stainless-steel construction.
- Scratch-post use: The livestock set is the direct match, with two scratch brushes, eight screws, and a scratch-post format.
- Carry-along grooming: The first kit lists a storage tote, the second a grooming bag, and the shedding blade a compact 12cm x 10.5cm size. The livestock set is described as a brush-post set, placing it in a different use-case lane.
Product notes
Horse Grooming Kit 12 Pieces Set
This 12-piece set is built around a broad routine. Its named contents include a shelled figure brush, grooming sponge, oval massage curry, hoof pick with brush, sweat scraper, curry comb, two aluminum straight combs, mane-and-tail brush, braiding comb, rubber bands, and a storage tote. Choose it when braiding supplies and a wide mix of hand tools matter together. The limitation is scope for narrower jobs: its assortment covers a broader routine than a shopper seeking only shed-hair removal or a scratch-post setup may require.
Horse Grooming Kit (12-Piece): Brushes, Storage Bag, Sweat Scraper, Mane Comb
This 12-piece set names a face brush, mane-and-tail brush, grooming sponge, dandy brush, soft finishing brush, curry comb, steel comb, hoof pick with brush, sweat scraper, grooming glove, and grooming bag. Nylon bristles, a plastic handle, and purple color are also specified. It makes sense for a routine that benefits from a clearly itemized brush mix and a carry bag. The limitation is focus: it is a hand-grooming kit, so it is not the same format as the separate shedding blade or scratch-post set.
Horse Grooming Tool Shedding Blade for Equine Grooming Equine Supplies
Focused on hair removal, this stainless-steel shedding blade has four rows of dense teeth and a listed size of 12cm x 10.5cm. Its compact format gives it a clear role when the task is shed hair and easy storage. Choose it for a focused add-on rather than a full collection of grooming implements. The limitation is scope: the description centers on combing and removing shed hair, not the multi-tool assortment named by the kits. It suits a defined grooming step, rather than covering several routine-care tasks at once.
2PCS Livestock Scratching Brush Goat Cow Horse Grooming Scratch Post Set GB
Designed for scratching and massage, this two-piece livestock scratch-brush set takes a different approach from hand-held grooming tools. The description specifies PBT and PP construction, 2.2-inch bristles, a 7.5-inch brush width, two brushes, and eight screws, and names horses among its livestock uses. Choose it when a scratch-post arrangement is the job. Its limitation is specialization: the title and description center on scratch brushes rather than the brush, comb, hoof-pick, sponge, and scraper assortment named by the kits. The 5.6-pound item weight is another practical distinction when planning how the setup will be handled.
Final recommendation by use case
- For broad routine coverage: choose Horse Grooming Kit 12 Pieces Set.
- For a named brush-and-care mix: choose Horse Grooming Kit (12-Piece): Brushes, Storage Bag, Sweat Scraper, Mane Comb.
- For shed-hair removal: choose Horse Grooming Tool Shedding Blade for Equine Grooming Equine Supplies.
- For scratch-post use: choose 2PCS Livestock Scratching Brush Goat Cow Horse Grooming Scratch Post Set GB.
Match the format to the task: select a kit for several grooming steps, the blade when hair removal is the priority, or the livestock brush set when scratching is the main use.
