Choosing dive computers & instruments means resolving a practical tension: do you want air integration, a compass and large display, broader mode support, or a lower listed price? These four choices do not serve exactly the same setup. Two are Shearwater Teric computers, the Suunto Cobra is an air-integrated console, and the Oceanic Pro Plus 3 combines air integration with a compass. Use the comparison below to match package contents, named functions, condition, and price to the way you dive.
Quick take
- The Shearwater Teric package with transmitter is the clearest fit when wireless air integration and its broad named mode list are the deciding factors.
- The other Teric focuses on the 55mm case, silicone band, charger, and case.
- Suunto Cobra puts air-integrated console functions, RGBM Nitrox, and an extra battery behind the lowest listed price.
- Oceanic Pro Plus 3 pairs air integration with a compass, large digits, and selectable algorithms; its condition label deserves attention.
Listed-price comparison
The four choices have an absolute price spread of $699.99. The bars show each position within this comparison, not a rating or performance score.

Product notes
Shearwater Teric Dive Computer w/ Air Integration Transmitter, Charger
This is the clearest package choice when wireless air integration is central. The package includes the Shearwater Teric computer, an air-integration transmitter, a wireless charging station, and a black/blue zippered case. Its full-color AMOLED display, digital compass, rechargeable battery, and audible and vibration alerts add useful interface details. The named modes include Air, Nitrox, Trimix, Tech, CCR, and Freediving, giving it the broadest explicitly stated mode list here. The limitation is concrete: it carries the highest listed price at USD 899.99 and has a Used condition. Choose it when the included transmitter and expanded mode list matter more than minimizing the purchase price.
Shearwater Teric Dive Computer Black 55mm
For a Teric with a clearly identified form, the Shearwater Teric Dive Computer Black 55mm offers a 55mm case and silicone band. The package includes the computer, an M/L band, charger, case, and documents, while Android is the compatible operating system identified for the device. Its multi-gas decompression function is another specific reason to consider it. The main limitation is the Used condition, so condition should weigh heavily in the decision. This Teric makes sense for a shopper who wants the 55mm specification and the named accessories without selecting the package whose title explicitly includes an air-integration transmitter.
Suunto Cobra Dive Computer Air Integrated Console RGBM Nitrox with Extra Battery
The Suunto Cobra is the price-led choice for a console setup with real-time tank-pressure monitoring. It combines air integration, RGBM decompression, Nitrox support from 21% to 50%, Gauge mode, a bright electroluminescent backlight, audible alarms, altitude adjustment, and an extra battery. Its explicitly named modes are Air, Nitrox, and Gauge. That is the key limitation for divers seeking the additional Trimix, Tech, CCR, or Freediving modes named for the first Teric package. The description gives separate depth figures-a 492-foot rating and an operational display up to 262 feet-so they should be read as distinct specifications. The condition is New.
Oceanic Pro Plus 3 Dive Computer With Compass
Oceanic Pro Plus 3 is a strong match for divers who want an air-integrated Air/Nitrox computer with a compass and large, legible digits. The package also includes a download cable, spare battery, O-ring, and gauge guard. Two selectable algorithms-Pelagic DSAT or Pelagic Z+-are named, giving this computer a distinct configuration choice within the group. The limitation is the condition label New other (see details), which is different from the New condition attached to the Suunto Cobra. At USD 397.50, it sits between the four listed prices. Choose it when the compass-and-display combination is more important than selecting a Teric model.
Final recommendation by use case
- Choose the Shearwater Teric Dive Computer w/ Air Integration Transmitter, Charger when the included transmitter, charger, and broad named mode list are your priorities.
- Choose the Shearwater Teric Dive Computer Black 55mm when the 55mm case and silicone band are the deciding details, with Used condition in mind.
- Choose the Suunto Cobra when the air-integrated console format, RGBM Nitrox support, extra battery, and lowest listed price align with your setup.
- Choose the Oceanic Pro Plus 3 when a compass, large digits, and selectable algorithms matter most, while accounting for its New other (see details) condition.
