Choosing between pickleball paddles with nearly identical Perseus Pro V naming can be difficult when the real differences are configuration, listed price, and how much construction detail you want spelled out. One option highlights an elongated shape, textured carbon fiber surface, and Blaze Red colorway; the other centers on a different thickness configuration.
Quick verdict
For shoppers who want a clearly described carbon fiber build and the lower listed price, the Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V 16mm Pickleball Paddle Red is the more straightforward choice. Its description gives you several concrete design details to compare. The Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle makes more sense when the configuration named in its title is the deciding factor.

Product notes
Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V 16mm Pickleball Paddle Red
Choose the Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V 16mm Pickleball Paddle Red when a carbon fiber pickleball paddle with clearly named construction details is more useful than a bare model match. Its description calls out JOOLA's Perseus elongated shape, textured carbon fiber surface, 16mm core, and Blaze Red Ben Johns colorway. That combination gives the paddle a clear identity for shoppers comparing shape, surface, and appearance together. The limitation is configuration-specific: its title identifies the 16mm version, so it is not the direct match for someone set on the alternate 14mm wording. The strongest reason to select it is the concrete collection of named features alongside the lower listed price, not an assumed advantage from the thickness number alone.
Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle
Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle suits a shopper whose decision starts with the 14mm wording in the title. That makes the model designation the clearest reason to choose it: the paddle is presented as a distinct Perseus configuration rather than simply a colorway variation. The limitation is financial. At $139.99, it is $71.99 above the other paddle's listed price, so the specific configuration should be central to the buying decision. The title's "Pro V Perseus" wording also differs from the other paddle's "Perseus Pro V" order, making the complete product name worth matching carefully. The numeric thickness alone does not establish more power, control, or precision.
Final choice by use case
- Choose the Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V 16mm Pickleball Paddle Red if you want the lower listed price plus an elongated shape, textured carbon fiber surface, and Blaze Red colorway explicitly described.
- Choose the Joola Ben Johns Pro V Perseus 14mm - Pickleball Paddle if the 14mm configuration in the title is the feature you specifically want and justifies the higher listed price.
- If you are undecided on thickness, avoid treating the number as a performance ranking. Match the configuration to your preference, then use the $71.99 price difference and P1's additional design callouts to make the final call.
