Choosing among disc golf baskets, retrievers & markers comes down to one practical question: do you want a target that stays useful in the yard without becoming difficult to move or store? The MVP Disc Sports Black Hole Practice aims to balance those needs with a portable design, a full 24-chain setup, and included stakes for added stability.
Quick verdict
The MVP Disc Sports Black Hole Practice 24-Chain Portable Disc Golf Basket Target is a sensible fit for players who want a dedicated disc golf practice basket that can move around the yard. Its 24 heavy-duty, course-weighted chains are arranged at equal intervals, while the all-metal construction and large base are designed to support more stable practice sessions. The collapsible format also makes storage and transport part of the design rather than an afterthought.
The main caveat is clear: the listed basket type is Light-Duty, and the price is USD 109.99. That makes it a considered purchase for practice use, especially if you want the portability features as much as the catching setup.
MVP Disc Sports Black Hole Practice 24-Chain Portable Disc Golf Basket Target
The strongest reason to choose this basket is its combination of catching coverage and portability. The 24 heavy-duty chains are described as course-weighted and intended to improve catches during practice. That gives the target a more fully specified chain arrangement than a basic practice setup, without changing its portable purpose.
The basket is also described as lightweight, collapsible, and quick to assemble or disassemble into a flat, compact size. Those details suit a player who wants to set up different shots around a yard, then put the basket away when practice is finished. The large base adds another practical feature for routine use, and three optional ground stakes are included for conditions involving wind or exceptionally strong putts.
Who it suits
This basket makes the most sense for home players who want a movable target for putting drills, approach practice, and varied yard placement. The compact, flat storage format is useful when the basket needs to be transported or stored between sessions. Its all-metal construction and stated ability to handle continual use also support choosing it for regular practice rather than occasional display.
What stands out from the listed details
- 24 heavy-duty chains: The course-weighted chain arrangement is designed for better catches during practice.
- Portable construction: Lightweight, collapsible parts make setup, breakdown, and movement more manageable.
- Stability features: A large base is paired with three optional ground stakes for wind and strong putts.
- All-metal build: The construction is specified as all metal, with the product described as durable enough for continual use.
Meaningful trade-offs
The Light-Duty basket classification is the clearest limitation to keep in mind. It does not change the listed 24-chain configuration or portability, but it frames the basket as a practice-focused choice. The USD 109.99 price also means the portability, chain arrangement, stakes, and storage design need to matter to you-not just the presence of a target.
Bottom line
Choose the MVP Black Hole Practice if you want a portable disc golf practice basket with 24 heavy-duty chains, a large base, and optional ground stakes. Its Light-Duty classification and USD 109.99 price make it best suited to shoppers specifically looking for a movable home-practice setup.
