Choosing among pickleball paddles means balancing the lowest listed price against a named edition or a different model with specific shape and surface details. Three choices center on the Perseus Pro IV, while the Perseus Pro V brings an elongated shape and textured carbon fiber surface. With a 16mm core named across the group, the decision comes down to model, finish, and playing emphasis.
Quick take
- Lowest listed price: JOOLA Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV, with control and power explicitly emphasized.
- Summer Daze design: Compare the two Perseus Pro IV entries; one is listed $4.99 lower than the other.
- Broad shot mix: The JOOLA Perseus PRO IV pairs power, spin, control, and a large sweet spot.
- Shape and surface details: The Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V names an elongated shape and textured carbon fiber surface.
The listed-price span is $40.01 from the lowest to the highest entry, so model details matter alongside cost.

- Textured carbon fiber and elongated shape: The Perseus Pro V is the only entry that names both attributes, along with the Blaze Red colorway.
Product notes
JOOLA Perseus PRO IV 16mm Pickleball Paddle-Limited Edition SUMMER DAZE NEW
At $61.99, the JOOLA Perseus PRO IV Summer Daze is for shoppers who want a broad shot mix: power, spin, and control, plus a large sweet spot and a 16mm core. The ergonomic grip is another concrete draw for extended play. That combination appeals when you want one paddle suited to drives, drops, and volleys. Its limitation is audience fit: the paddle is aimed at competitive and advanced recreational players, so it is not the clearest match for someone specifically seeking a beginner pickleball paddle. It also sits $4.99 above the matching Summer Daze Perseus Pro IV entry, making price an important tie-breaker.
Perseus Pro IV 16mm Pickleball Paddle Limited Edition Summer Daze New
At $57, the Perseus Pro IV Summer Daze offers the lower listed price between the two matching Summer Daze titles. It pairs the 16mm core with touch, stability, power, control, precision, and spin, while the ergonomic handle is framed for long matches. That makes it a practical choice for an advanced player who wants the named limited-edition look without selecting the higher-priced matching entry. The boundary is the stated audience: the paddle is aimed at advanced players rather than written as beginner guidance. The JOOLA Perseus PRO IV entry specifically calls out a large sweet spot, so that feature gives shoppers a reason to choose the other Summer Daze paddle.
JOOLA Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV 16mm Pickleball Paddle
At $27.99, the JOOLA Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV is the price-led choice. Its playing profile explicitly emphasizes control and power, making it relevant for shoppers who want those two attributes without moving into the two Summer Daze prices or the Pro V price. The model wording also separates it from the Pro V, which can simplify a model-first decision. The limitation is design specificity: this paddle is identified as the Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV, while the other titles call out Summer Daze or Red. Choose it for the lowest listed price and stated control-and-power emphasis, rather than for a named limited-edition finish.
Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V 16mm Pickleball Paddle Red
At $68, the Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V is the model to choose when specific construction and shape details drive the decision. It names an elongated shape, textured carbon fiber surface, Blaze Red Ben Johns colorway, and 16mm core. That gives shoppers a defined combination to seek in a carbon fiber pickleball paddle. The limitation is cost relative to the comparison: it is $40.01 above the $27.99 Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV entry. It is also a model change from IV to V, so it is not the match for someone focused on the Summer Daze edition. Pick it for the stated shape, surface, and color details.
Final recommendation by use case
For the lowest listed price, choose the JOOLA Ben Johns Perseus Pro IV and its explicit control-and-power emphasis. For the lower-priced Summer Daze selection, choose the Perseus Pro IV Summer Daze listed at $57. For the Summer Daze paddle with a large sweet spot and a stated balance of power, spin, and control, choose the JOOLA Perseus PRO IV. For textured carbon fiber, an elongated shape, and Blaze Red, choose the Joola Ben Johns Perseus Pro V. The main decision is whether the Pro V's named shape and surface details justify moving away from the lower-priced Pro IV choices.
