Choosing among disc golf baskets, retrievers & markers starts with the actual practice problem: will the basket stay in one place, move between spots, or need a carrying solution? The four baskets here divide into Lite and Pro HD model names, with color, structural descriptions, and assembly details helping separate close matches. That makes the choice less about one universal winner and more about matching a basket to your routine.
Quick take
Lite versus Pro HD is the central choice. The Axiom entries create the color-based branch, while MVP gives you distinct Lite and Pro HD routes. Use the listed-price table for the cost split, then let the decision matrix match the basket to your practice routine.
Listed-price comparison
These listed prices run from $119.95 to $184.95, with a $65.00 spread. The two Lite entries sit together at the low end, while the Pro HD entries occupy the higher two price points.

Product notes
Axiom Disc Golf Basket Lite Catcher Target MVP Disc Sports - Choose from Colors
The Axiom Lite is a natural fit for a straightforward practice setup because its title clearly pairs Lite with Catcher Target, and its threaded tension connection is described as supporting rapid, sturdy assembly. The tradeoff is the Light model and Light-Duty basket type shown for this entry, so it is not the direct match for a shopper specifically seeking the Pro HD model name. Choose Axiom Lite when that model phrase and quick assembly fit the routine; move to a Pro HD title when the model designation is the priority.
Axiom Disc Golf Basket Pro HD Catcher Target MVP Disc Sports - Choose Color
Axiom Pro HD is the Axiom route for shoppers who want the Pro HD model name backed by specific construction details. Its description lists 12 outer and 12 inner chains, a sturdier chain rack, deeper cage, stronger base, all-metal construction, and assembly in under one minute. The limitation is that its Pro HD designation does not suit a shopper specifically seeking a Lite or Light model. Choose it when those construction details and the Axiom model name line up with the practice setup.
MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Lite Catcher Target
MVP Black Hole Lite puts portability at the center. Its description says it weighs just under 26 lb and is 25% lighter than the Black Hole Pro, with an assembly that takes under one minute; it also uses a threaded tension connector. Those details make the model a practical match for practice spots that change. The limitation is the listed Black color and the Lite/Light designation, so shoppers looking for an Axiom color route or a Pro HD model may prefer another title. Choose it when moving the basket matters more than selecting a Pro HD format.
MVP Disc Golf Basket Black Hole Pro HD Catcher Target + Transit Carrying Bag
MVP Black Hole Pro HD fits a field-or-course practice routine, with a Pro HD model name and a description that includes 24 high-visibility zinc-coated course-weighted chains, standard PDGA height and size regulations, thick 8mm wire compared with the Pro's 6mm wire, and assembly in under one minute. The title adds Transit Carrying Bag, a concrete packing detail. Its listed Black color may not suit shoppers prioritizing the Lime or Royal Blue Axiom routes. Choose it when the Pro HD title and carry-focused setup fit your routine.
Final recommendation by use case
For a color-led setup, start with an Axiom title: the Lite entry is the Lime route, while the Pro HD entry is Royal Blue. For moving between practice spots, choose MVP Black Hole Lite. For a Pro HD target, choose between Axiom Pro HD and MVP Black Hole Pro HD; the model names make that split clear, while the matrix separates their practical details. If cost is decisive, the two Lite titles share the low listed price of $119.95. This is a use-case choice rather than a universal winner.
